Calzaghe has it his way with Jones to go out a winner

Virtually unknown southpaw Joe Calzaghe put his undefeated record of 46-0 on the line against the legendary Roy Jones Jr. (52-5) last Saturday Night at New Yorks’ Madison Square Garden.

Calzaghe, overcame a 1st round knock down by the veteran Jones but never looked back by winning the bout unanimously with a score of 118-109 by all three judges.

Calzaghe, the aggressor throughout the entire fight displayed tremendous courage by standing toe to toe with Jones, by keeping Jones against the ropes throwing punishing punches to the body and head that ultimately paid off resulting in a deep cut over Jones’ left eye.

Calzaghe is feeling on top of the world after beating two the the best fighters in Roy Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins who lost to Calzaghe in April.

Next Up for the Champ Calzaghe, maybe a rematch with Roy Jones Jr., Bernard Hopkins, or a title match with IBF Champion Chad Dawson. But, before anything else Calzaghe says he is going to rest and relax and enjoy this victory.
